Haven Midwifery is located in The Nest Family Wellness centre, in the heart of beautiful Cloverdale, BC.  At Haven Midwifery, our midwives provide full-service maternity care to families from the the 1st trimester all the way up until 6-8 weeks postpartum. The concept of “Haven” and “Nest” was born from a desire to offer a safe and nurturing space for families while they grow their babies, bring them into the world, and beyond. This centre is founded on a belief in connection, friendship and community, as well as midwifery care.

We look forward to meeting all of you!

What To Expect at Haven Midwifery...

  • Visit length is 30-45 minutes.

  • Routine care in BC is to have clinic visits once a month until 28 weeks of pregnancy, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly until your baby is born. After the baby arrives, we will offer home visits until you are ready to rejoin the world, and see you for a total of 6-8 weeks postpartum!

  • If you are a client you will be provided with a way to contact me 24-7 for urgent situations and for labour/birth.

  • We will offer you tea every time you come in!

  • We will have evidence based discussions about testing and guidelines, but this will always be balanced with your personal wishes, and we will work towards a mutual goal of safe, healthy, happy outcomes. You are the ultimate decision maker.

  • We have a legal scope of practice, and are in good standing with the College of Midwives and the Midwives Association of BC.
